LCPD’s Education and Skills Development Response Strategy is a comprehensive approach designed to address the educational and vocational needs of communities affected by conflict and displacement in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria. This strategy aligns national policies and international frameworks, focusing on both immediate educational needs and long-term skill acquisition for sustainable development.

Our programmatic focus includes: providing timely and coordinated access to quality Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED), Basic Education, and Education in Emergencies (EiE) for children affected by crises; facilitating access to quality, inclusive basic and secondary education; providing youth and adolescents with opportunities in digital literacy and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET); and strengthening education systems at federal, state, and LGA levels for improved education service delivery and effective learning outcomes.

Our Theory of Change:
IF timely, quality, integrated education services for ECE, primary, and secondary levels are provided through enhanced quality and supply of teachers and materials, in safe and protective learning environments, with coordination among communities, government, and other partners,
THEN children, including the vulnerable and marginalized, will have a better chance to access, continue, and complete their basic and secondary education,
BECAUSE systemic, socioeconomic, and cultural barriers hindering them are addressed.
